The Kings Gate Garden

Artist Juliet Haysom has created a new community garden in Kings Gate, Amesbury. This new garden takes inspiration from the local geology of chalk and flint, open grasslands and large skies. A series of stone and terrazzo blocks form circles throughout the garden, providing gathering places and opportunities to rest and enjoy the landscape.

Confluence at Mayfest, Bristol

In a city that is constantly evolving, how do we find a moment to pause and reflect on this place? Confluence continues at Mayfest 2024, where children run wild in urban forests, an arch made of ice helps us think about the systems we imagine, build, and come to rely on, and where we open up a conversation about how art can help us navigate a changing city.

Watch: Lightwell at Clydebank

Jim Buchanan's Lightwell is one of several artist commissions developed by Ginkgo Projects as part of the art strategy for the new Health and Care Centre for Clydebank. Lightwell is a classical labyrinth design based on a historical pattern dating back five millennia. Since the pattern invites an inward journey, and then to repeat the path in reverse, a common interpretation is of life’s cyclical journey.
