Artists work incorporated into the regeneration of the waterfront of Dumfries. The Crossing is a two piece work, with each piece facing each other across the Caul on the River Nith. The work celebrates the river crossing and is based on Lady Devorgilla, a thirteenth century, strong willed local figure, who built Devorgilla Bridge across the Nith. Other commissions included banners, carved text, seats and railings and railing finals.
