Ginkgo Projects are looking for a design agency to develop and deliver a creative legibility proposal and within that, all signage and furniture for the Finzels Reach development in Bristol. This project forms part of the public art element of the development and will involve the selected designers acting as mentors to two recent graduates from the School of Creative Arts, UWE. Due to the mentoring element of this project it is open only to agencies based within the South West.

On Sunday 4 July and Monday 5 July, a unique installation will be occurring on the Torre Abbey Meadows. Running up from the balloon to the Spanish Barn will be a special walkway, complete with multi-media and live performers, which will allow spectators to walk up through usually fenced-off spaces. White-clad 'guides' will aid the journey, each with a secret to share about the landscape. Historical Story’s and chants will echo from the entrance portal to begin the journey and build a direct connection between the seafront and Torre Abbey's history.
Karsten Huneck and Bernd Truempler from the Office for Subversive Architecture (OSA) have developed ‘Extended Cloister’. OSA is a network of eight architects in five different cities and there countries. OSA is actively involved in developing projects that work between art and architecture. The work is focused on the reinterpretation of public space, on its use and how people interact with it. OSA’s projects help start discussions about our use of our public spaces and potential improvements to its use.
This portal will emerge on the Torre Abbey grounds, where the preview audience may have a sneak peek at the Summer Art Exhibition: 'Tamed', which opens on 6 July.
